While listening to the record you might want to read through some articles and interviews, which arrived recently. I’m very thankful for the support!
I’m very happy to release a new preview track on SoundCloud. It’s called “Close to Something”. A collaboration with Eva Stock from Berlin (her band there is called Bikini Jesus, which you should definitely check out as well!). Thanks to all people involved: Marco Divic (mixing and mastering), Ben Poddig (vocal recordings in Berlin).
The track is planned to be released officially as part of my next EP next year. Feel free to share and spread the word!
Hey, please have a preview listen to my latest track “Silent Laughter”, which I released on SoundCloud. Recorded at home and in our project studio in Saarbrücken, mixed by Fraser Smith (www.frasersmith.co.uk) and mastered by Dick Beetham (www.360mastering.co.uk) in London. Long live the internet! I’m thankful that I can collaborate with such nice people home and abroad. I’m still working on a new EP, which I can hopefully finish and release next year. Have a nice weekend! Maddes
Some time has passed since the release of my first full-length record Fielded, I really appreciate the kind feedback, that I got so far and I hope you enjoy listening to the CD version. There are still some copies left, so make sure you grab your copy with some handwritten lines before it’s gone:
In the past months I’ve played some fun shows on drums with The Autumn Art Festival, a great indie folk band from Saarbrücken. One of the gigs was in Nantes: we played an unplugged radio gig at Eur@dioNantes and at Cosmopolis. Another great experience was the live studio gig at Truetone Records in Saarbrücken. I hope we manage to play some more shows in summer time this year.
Back to the Future – New Release In Sight
I have been working on a new song in the meantime and I plan to release it digitally as a single. I just finished all recordings, which I did myself here in Saarbrücken and I got the opportunity to hand it over to Fraser Smith in London, who will mix it and bring in his note within the next weeks. I’m really looking forward to it!
Enjoy the beginning of springtime and drop me a line on Twitter or Facebook!
First of all I want to thank all, who joined my mailing list so far. I really appreciate the support and interest in my music!
As some probably know, I record and produce myself and I really like the sound of uncompressed HiFi sound. Unfortunately most download stores, platforms and CDs are not optimized for 24 Bit files (my latest songs were recorded and mastered with 24 Bit) and sound quality simply gets lost for most listeners. Therefore I decided to give away some of the tracks in a lossless format for free.
You just need to sign up for the mailing list. I will be sending secret links to the files from time to time.
One of the first songs will be The Comfort of Absence, which I just released on SoundCloud. It was the first time for me to record a trombone, many thanks to Michael Hupperts, who plays this instrument so beautifully.
